Weekend Roundup

In another heavily rain affected weekend, the club managed 3 wins out of the 3 completed games.

Friday nights Twenty20 went down to the wire, away at Enfield. Ben won the toss and stuck them in. They managed a good score of 163 for 6 off their allotted 20 overs. Toxy managed to pin them back with a tight 4 overs at the death taking 3 wickets. Their pro Shashrika Pussegolla top scored with 93. The rain came at half time and Lowerhouses score was reduced to needing 110 off 12 overs, a big ask some might say. House managed it with a ball to spare with Ocki hitting 30 off 13 balls and a helpful 29 form Jonny Whitehead. Full scorecard here

Saturdays Second, Third and Fourth Eleven games both succumbed to the elements.

On Sunday the First Team played Rochdale at home. House made 144 for 9 with rain again knocking the overs back to 47. Dean Barlow hit his 2nd senior fifty for the club. Rochdale got to 55 for 3 off 21.4 overs when the rain came and House were ahead on Duckworth Lewis method and took 10 points for the win. Full scorecard here

The Second Team maintained their strong start with another win after being uncharacteristically bowled out for 102 off 31.4 overs. Caleb Greenhalgh hit 33 up the top of the order. House cleaned up Middleton for just 62 off 31.1 overs with Joe Halstead taking 4 wickets and skipper Matt Hope taking 3. Full scorecard here. They now sit second in the table.
