Weekly Update: Monday 8th – Friday 12th September 2025
Whilst senior nets continue, junior games have now ceased for the 2025 season. Accordingly, the bar will remain closed in the evenings unless advised otherwise.
Saturday 13th September 2025
With no 3rd or 4th XI fixtures scheduled, House will host a fixture from the GMCL – Robert Hinchliffe Premier League.
Edgworth CC are carrying out ground works at their Bolton Road, Turton home, so Lowerhouse will host Edgworth v Flixton, scheduled for a Noon start.
Edgworth currently sit 3rd in the table with a record of P20, W13, L6, A1 (78 points). Visitors Flixton are 8th with a record of P20, W8, L11, C1.
The club’s bar will open from Noon, with catering supplied by North West Street Foods.
There is a private party in the evening, so bar access after 7.00pm will be via the CEF Lounge.
Vitality T20 Blast Finals Day will be shown on TVs in the CEF Lounge.
Sunday 14th September 2025
House 2nds close their 2025 Championship campaign with a home game vs Church (45 overs), scheduled to start at 12.30pm. Entry is free.
The club’s bar will open from Noon, with catering from North West Street Foods.
TVs in the CEF Lounge will feature:
- Southampton v Portsmouth – 12.00pm
- Burnley v Liverpool – 2.00pm
- Man City v Man United – 4.30pm
House 1st XI bring their season to a close away at Todmorden (Centre Vale, OL14 7BS) with a scheduled 12.30pm start.
Charity Walk to Todmorden
Adam Hope, Jack Turner and his partner Hayley are walking from Lowerhouse CC to Todmorden CC in aid of a cause very close to their hearts.
Rakehead Neurorehabilitation Centre (Burnley Hospital) are currently looking after their Mum/Mother-in-Law, Carole, after multiple brain tumour surgeries.

Looking Ahead
Saturday 20th September 2025
Shelly is hosting a Family Fun Day at Lowerhouse in aid of Pendleside Hospice as part of her Pendleside Does Strictly campaign.
The event opens at 11.00am with the bar and catering available.
Attractions include: Fun Fair, Colour Run, Stocks, Bucking Bronco, Gladiator Battle, Giant Jenga, Hanging Tough and much more.
Live bands:
- Gumball – 4.00pm
- Paul Heaton Tribute – 7.00pm
Entry is free, but please bring some cash for donations.
Note: Burnley v Forest kicks off at 3.00pm, but we encourage you to support before and after the game.
