Dynamos Cricket 2026 at Lowerhouse
We’re excited to announce that Dynamos Cricket is back at Lowerhouse for 2026 — the perfect next step for children who have completed All Stars Cricket or for all 8–11-year-olds new to the sport!
At Lowerhouse, we run Dynamos a little differently. While the official programme runs for eight weeks, we offer free extended sessions until the end of the summer, giving children more time to develop their skills and enjoy the game.
What Is Dynamos Cricket?
Dynamos Cricket provides a fantastic next step for children graduating from All Stars Cricket and a brilliant introduction for newcomers aged 8–11. The programme is all about fun, social interaction and skill development.
Every child who registers will receive a personalised Dynamos Cricket t-shirt with their name and number — because looking like the heroes of the game is important too!
What Will My Child Be Doing?
Each session is carefully structured to combine skill development with fun gameplay:
- Warm-up (5–10 minutes): Get moving and recap on gross motor skills and basic ball handling.
- Skill Builders (15 minutes): Focus on fundamental skills needed to play cricket, with particular attention to bowling, a key part of any game.
- Countdown Cricket Game (30–45 minutes): Everyone gets a chance to participate in batting, bowling and fielding, putting skills into practice in a fun game.
How Else Can Children Play?
For those wanting to play club cricket throughout the summer, there are over 5,000 clubs around the country. Dynamos sessions are designed to complement junior cricket, so children can take part in both if they wish.
For 8-year-olds who are completely new to cricket or hesitant to join Dynamos, All Stars Cricket may be more suitable. All Stars provides the fundamental skills of catching, throwing and batting, and children receive a personalised t-shirt, bat, ball and backpack.
