🏏 Welcome to the 2025 Season at Lowerhouse Cricket Club
As the 2025 season gets underway, we’re excited to welcome back familiar faces and introduce many new families and visitors to Lowerhouse Cricket Club—whether you’re here for junior midweek fixtures or weekend senior matches.
For some, this might be your first time visiting the club, so we’ve put together a few friendly reminders and important guidelines to help everyone enjoy the experience safely, respectfully, and responsibly.
âś… Challenge 25 Policy
Please note: Lowerhouse operates a Challenge 25 policy.
Anyone aged 18 or over who looks under 25 may be asked to show valid photo ID when purchasing alcohol or entering licensed areas.
🚸 Safety First
Cricket is a fast-paced sport, and cricket balls can be dangerous. We ask everyone—especially parents and guardians—to remain vigilant.
-
Always supervise children closely.
-
Stay alert to balls leaving the field of play—injuries can happen in an instant.
-
For safety reasons, cycling, football, or any throwing games on the pitch or square are not allowed during play.
đźš« Restricted Areas
Please be aware that the MKM embankment is off-limits.
It contains hidden hazards and is not part of the club grounds.
Ensure children and visitors stay away from this area at all times.
🙌 Respect the Ground & Club
Lowerhouse is powered by volunteers and supported by our community. Help us maintain the ground by:
-
Treating benches, walls, and facilities with care
-
Returning your glasses and rubbish to the bar or bins
-
Respecting our staff, volunteers, players, and fellow supporters
âš˝ Football Policy
To protect the pitch and ensure matchdays run smoothly, footballs should not be brought to or used around the ground except during the following times on the pitch only:
-
âś… Before the match
-
âś… At half-time
-
âś… After the final ball
Please do not kick footballs near the clubhouse, tea room, painted surfaces, or spectator areas.
We’re incredibly proud of the friendly, welcoming atmosphere at Lowerhouse. Let’s all play our part in keeping it that way—for our players, our members, and especially for the next generation of cricket lovers.
Thanks for your cooperation—and here’s to another brilliant season at the House!
