Lowerhouse to Support Charity Cricket Marathon Challenge
Lowerhouse Cricket Club is delighted to be supporting Liv, founder of The Cricket Widow Club (and her sister), as they take on an incredible charity marathon challenge on Sunday 30th August.
They will be running a marathon route linking a number of local cricket clubs across the area, with each club forming part of her journey. The challenge aims to raise vital funds for two fantastic charities, Pendleside Hospice and the Ruth Strauss Foundation.
As Lowerhouse host Darwen at The Brooks Foundation Ground that afternoon, they will be making a special stop at the club to complete a lap of the ground before continuing her marathon.
We’re proud to support this fantastic community initiative and look forward to giving them a warm Lowerhouse welcome. If you’re coming along to watch the cricket, please give them plenty of encouragement as they pass through the ground.
Both Pendleside Hospice and the Ruth Strauss Foundation provide incredible support to families facing some of life’s most difficult challenges, making this a truly worthwhile cause.
We’ll share more details, including how you can support their fundraising, as they become available.
Good luck to you both! Everyone at Lowerhouse Cricket Club will be cheering you on!
