Introducing The Flying Geese:

Back in the early 90’s the founders of Millichamp & Hall formed a legendary cricket team called the Flying Geese.  A pitch was lovingly created next to the original workshops in Bishops Lydeard which is fondly remembered by those lucky enough to participate.

The idea was to bring together Staff, Customers & M&H professionals for fun social games, a way to network and build a community with like- minded people over the game we all love so much

Alas, when M&H relocated to the Somerset County Cricket Ground in 1996 the field of dreams was forgotten, and the Flying Geese were left behind…

In a new remote world of ever-increasing faceless communications M&H feel now, more than ever the importance of socially engaging with our M&H family members to celebrate the sport we love, together.

This is why we have decided to hatch the Flying Geese once again.

We have some exciting fixtures coming up in 2023 and we need you to be involved! The provisional dates are as follows:

  • Lowerhouse Cricket Club, Burnley – Friday 14thJuly 2023
  • Pentag Cricket Club, Wales – Friday 28thJuly 2023
  • Stowaway Festival, Buckinghamshire – Friday 18th to Sunday 20th August 2023
  • Ibiza Cricket Club, Ibiza – Friday 6thto Tuesday 10th October 2023

Introducing our Charity Partners: Depher

James Anderson became a plumber in 1998 and during his career became shocked and saddened to discover the low quality of life many of his elderly, disabled, vulnerable and low-income customers endured due to poor quality heating and plumbing. As well as being ineffective, in many cases it was potentially life-threatening.

So in in 2017 he set up Depher – Disability and Elderly Plumbing and Heating Emergency Repair.

A registered Community Initiative Company, Depher relies on public donations to cover the cost of labour and materials, allowing it to provide free services during winter months and discounted services at other times.

Depher provides urgent emergency works such as repairing gas leaks, installing new boilers, and heating systems – and providing running hot water to those without it.

Since Depher was launched, James has supported over 17,000 people and during the pandemic also branched out into helping distribute personal protective equipment and food to his community.

We hope  many of you will attend and donate to this worthy cause
