Worsley Cup Progress: First Eleven & Second Eleven Cruise Through
Both sides overcome Accrington to book place in Round 2 of the Worsley Cup.

First Eleven vs Accrington
The First Eleven progressed comfortably into the second round of the Worsley Cup after a dominant all-round performance against Accrington.
Lowerhouse won the toss and elected to bat first, with a number of familiar faces missing from the side. Congratulations to Jonny Whitehead and Olivia on their wedding day, while Joey Hawke and Frankie Haasbroek were also unavailable due to work commitments. Shaukat Ali made his Worsley Cup debut.
House posted a commanding 271 for 6 from their 50 overs. Dan Salpietro led the scoring with a fluent 75, while Tom Walker and Toxy Hussain both produced Worsley Cup bests of 58 and 68 respectively. Chris Bleazard rolled back the years with a stylish 31.
In reply, Accrington were dismantled for 106 in 31.3 overs. Shaukat Ali starred on debut, ripping through the middle order with outstanding figures of 4 for 20 from 7.3 overs.
Lowerhouse progress to Round 2, with the draw to be made in due course.
Second Eleven vs Accrington (Away)
The Second Eleven also produced a comprehensive away victory over Accrington to secure their place in the next round.
Accrington won the toss and batted first, reaching 94 for 2 before a remarkable collapse saw them bowled out for 109.
Decisive bowling changes the game as Dec Stansfield claimed 4 for 25 from 8 overs, while Keegan De Vries delivered a devastating spell finishing with 3 for 3 from 5 overs.
In reply, Lowerhouse chased down the target with ease, finishing on 111 for 2 from 29 overs. Joe Clark remained unbeaten on 42, with Joel Sharp adding a fluent 35 to guide the side home.
