House grab all 12 against Rishton
The First and Second eleven both took 12 points from Rishton earlier today. Professional Dieter got another half century with Paddy Martin taking 6 wickets.
League leaders Lowerhouse stay top after picking up all 12 points in a 92 run win over Rishton at the Brooks Foundation Ground. Lowerhouse piled up the highest score of the season to date, making 273 all out after struggling early on at 13-2 with openers Joe Martin (5) and Joe Halstead (4) back in the pavilion. Ben Heap (39) and professional Dieter Klein put on 96 with Klein hitting eleven fours in making 73. Adam Hugill (43), Joe Hawke (30), Paddy Martin (24) and Lewis Marsden (16) also chipping in. Scott Greaves took 4-38 and professional Shaun von Berg 3-81 for Rishton. Von Berg top scored with 91, including seven fours and four sixes, before falling in paddy Martin’s last over of the match. the off spinner took 6-62, having had figures of 4-7 earlier on. Matt Nuttall also made 22 and Klein took 3-47 in Rishton’s innings of 181.
