Learning Curve for Thirds and Fourths Despite Battling Performances

Third & Fourth Eleven Match Report

A day of learning and development for the Third and Fourth Elevens saw two defeats.

Third Eleven vs Haslingden (Home)

The Third Eleven were beaten at home against Haslingden after winning the toss and electing to bat. House were bowled out for 122 in 33.3 overs.

Joel Sharpe top scored with 30, Jax Edwards added a useful 28 from number nine, and Danny Simm contributed 24.

In reply, Haslingden reached their target two wickets down inside 30 overs. Aayan Malik and Sonny Whittaker took one wicket apiece.

Fourth Eleven vs Darwen (Away)

The Fourth Eleven travelled to Darwen, who won the toss and elected to bat. The hosts posted 157 for 7 from their allotted 40 overs.

Will Fallows impressed with three wickets opening the bowling, Josh Lord took two, and Oscar Jackson and Ollie Bennett claimed one each.

In reply, a valiant effort saw House fight back after slipping to 65 for 7, but they were ultimately bowled out 22 runs short in the penultimate over.

Shahbaz Mukthar top scored with 55, supported by Logan Haworth with 20 and Arthur Needham with 17.
