Lowerhouse Cricket Club are delighted to announce the signing of Satyajeet ‘Sach’ Bachhav as professional for the 2024 JW Lees Lancashire League season.

Sach is a 31 year old slow left arm orthodox bowler and left handed bat. He made his Twenty20 debut for Maharashtra in the 2015–16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 3 January 2016. He made his List A debut for Maharashtra in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 4 March 2017.

He was the joint-leading wicket-taker for Maharashtra in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, with fifteen dismissals in eight matches and he was also the leading wicket-taker for Maharashtra in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy, with 28 dismissals in seven matches.He finished the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as the leading wicket-taker in the tournament, with twenty dismissals in twelve matches.

No stranger to the UK, Sach has previously represented Birkenhead Park in the Liverpool Competition, taking a remarkable 94 wickets at 8.4 in 2021 and 56 wickets at 12.25 in 2023.

Also a very solid batsman, he also contributed 898 runs at 29.93 during his time with Birkenhead.

Sach will become the clubs 5th Indian professional following in the footsteps of revered players such as Mohinder (Jimmy) Amarnath, Kirti Azad and Manoj Prabhakar.
