Despite being fierce rivals on the field both club’s enjoy great relations off the field, which is the essence of the Lancashire League.

Lowerhouse large travelling army of supporter’s will swell what’s expected to be a large crowd at Sunday’s game and in addition Accrington have a large corporate sponsor event as such please take the time to read the following information supplied by Mark Taylor – Secretary of Accrington CC on behalf of his club

ACCRINGTON CC

ARRANGEMENTS FOR
ACCRINGTON CC V LOWERHOUSE CC
SUNDAY 18 AUGUST

I wanted to make you and your members aware of some measures we are putting in place in anticipation of the large crowd expected at the game on Sunday.

In addition to the large number of supporters of both teams we will also be hosting guests of our corporate match day sponsors, as a consequence there will be some restrictions on the bar facilities available.

BAR FACILITIES

A section of the function room and part of the bar area will be cordoned off for exclusive use of our match day sponsors.

Normal bar facilities will still be available for members and supporters of both teams but in a smaller area.

We would ask that supporters enter the bar through the right hand side door of the clubhouse at the bottom of the stairs, rather than through the double doors in the centre. In order to alleviate congestion in the bar area we are also setting up a stall to sell cans, which will be situated near the groundsman’s hut.

TOILET FACILITIES

Toilet facilities will be available as normal in the clubhouse but we would ask supporters to please use the door at the left hand side of the clubhouse at the top of the disabled ramp, rather than entering through the double doors in the centre.

CAR PARKING

Ground car parking will be available to all supporters at a cost of £1. However we anticipate this will fill up very quickly. Once full there is street parking available in the surrounding area but please respect local residents when parking.

We would ask that you don’t park on the track leading down to the ground as we need to keep this clear for emergency vehicles. Gates will open at 12.00.

There are also a limited number of car parking spaces available on the banking on the railway side of the ground.

Seating is available all around the ground and there is plenty of room at the Highams end and also in front of the banking for people who wish to bring their own chairs.

TEA ROOM FACILITIES

Normal tea room facilities will be available but please bear in mind there could be queues at certain times.

We hope this will not inconvenience your members and supporters too much and we look forward to another excellent game between two top teams.
Thanks for your support
