Mixed Fortunes for Lowerhouse as Third Eleven Triumph and Fourth Eleven Beaten

Third Eleven Continue Winning Form with Victory Over Darwen

Lowerhouse Third Eleven made it another successful afternoon with a hard-fought 10-run victory over Darwen at The Brooks Foundation Ground.

After winning the toss and electing to bat on a glorious day, Lowerhouse posted an impressive 210 for 4 from their 40 overs. Joe Clark led the way with a superb 91, while Joe Masson added 33. Lewis Clarke contributed 29 and Braiden Watson chipped in with 26 as the hosts built a competitive total.

Darwen responded well and produced an excellent chase, finishing on 200 for 8 from their 40 overs. Lowerhouse held their nerve in the closing stages, with Harvey Elliott returning excellent figures of 3 for 23. Joe Clark completed a fine all-round performance by taking 2 for 53 as the Third Eleven secured another valuable victory.

Result: Lowerhouse Third Eleven won by 10 runs.


Fourth Eleven Beaten at Todmorden

The Fourth Eleven were unable to overcome Todmorden after the home side won the toss and chose to bat first.

Todmorden posted 220 for 3 from their 40 overs, leaving Lowerhouse with a challenging chase.

Despite a determined effort, Lowerhouse were bowled out for 171 in 39 overs. Dave Krupinski top scored with 39, while Hammad Aurangzeb made 37, but the target ultimately proved beyond reach.

Result: Todmorden won by 49 runs.
