Sad News – Ken Cronshaw

Lowerhouse Cricket Club are saddened to hear of the passing of former player Ken Cronshaw.

Ken was a successful Second Eleven player from leaving school and broke into the First Eleven in the 1981 season whereupon he opened the bowling and batted lower middle order. He did have the distinction of being bowled out by Kapil Dev who was Nelson’s professional, and at the time probably the best all rounder in world cricket.

We send our condolences to Ken’s family especially his brother Ian who is well known in cricket circles himself, and a friend to many of us.
