Lowerhouse Cricket Club are saddened to hear of the passing of former player and Hall of Famer Maxi Mahmood. Maxi played for the club between 1954-1966 scoring 4470 runs in 212 appearances.
Maxi lived in the Lowerhouse area and is well known in the town.
Maxis funeral will take place at the Abu Bakr mosque tomorrow at 2pm followed by Burnley around 3pm if anyone wants to pay their respects.
