Sad News — The Passing of Steve Parrington
The Lowerhouse Cricket Club family are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of club stalwart Steve Parrington.
Steve was a long-serving committeeman and known to generations as “the man in the pop hut.” He had a great sense of humour and loved his banter — often referring to Club Chairman Stan Heaton as “Hog” during their light-hearted exchanges.
Steve was the son of the late Arthur and Annie, who were also much loved at the club.
We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Steve’s family, especially his siblings Graham and Sandra.
Funeral details will be announced once known.
