Stan Elected onto League Executive

Stan at this weeks League meeting was elected onto the League Exec as safeguard Lead.

The Annual General Meeting of the JW Lees Lancashire League held on February 22nd saw two new Executive Officers elected.

Naomi Aspin created history by becoming the first ever woman to be elected to the League Executive.

Naomi brings a wealth of knowledge and experience particularly relating to Junior Representative cricket and Ladies and Girls cricket both locally and within the County.

Stan Heaton was elected as the League’s ‘Safe Guard Lead’.

Stan is the Chairman of the highly successful Lancashire Cricket Junior League and becomes the point of contact for any issues of concern relating to Safe Guarding.

League Chairman Mike Bibby informed the meeting that this would be his final year and would be stepping down at the next AGM.

The remaining members of the League Executive were re-elected en bloc.

The League member clubs voted to adopt the ECB conditions including the General Conduct Regulations necessary to complete its Accreditation as an ECB Premier League in 2023.

This is a huge achievement for the League adding to its development and history demonstrating the esteem in which it is held by ECB and the County Board.

The Senior League Division 1 becomes the new Premier League and Division 2 becomes its Feeder League.
