Success for the Seconds – Weekend Roundup

On Saturday the Second eleven faced Colne at home. Colne won the toss and batted first, being bowled out for 101. Matt Hope starred with 5 for 10 off 9.1 overs, with Charlie Bithell picking up the other 4 wickets (they only had 10 players). 52 not out from, an in fine form George Durkin and 30 not out from Jack Simm saw them home in 24.2 overs with only one wicket down.

The First eleven lost out to Greenmount away. House won the toss and batted first but failed to build any partnerships and struggled to 104 all out after 38.1 overs. Joe Martin top scored with 16. In reply, Greenmount made easy work of it getting home 2 wickets down in 26 overs.

The Fourth eleven were beaten on Sunday by Norden Thirds. Norden won the toss and stuck us in. The Fourths made 136 all out after 38.4 overs. In reply Norden we’re 138/3 with 4 and a bit overs to go.
