Super Simm aids the win – Weekend Roundup
A Lowerhouse eleven started the weekend on Friday night with the annual charity Twenty20 at Padiham in aid of Casual Minds Matter. A lot change with Dec Metcalfe replacing Paddy Martin due to illness. House were bowled out for 86 off 16.2 overs and Padiham knocked them off 4 down off 14.1. A great sum raised for charity and thanks all that was in attendance.
The Second Eleven played Darwen on Saturday without their captain who had been promoted to the First Eleven – Kheiro Chir took the captains armband, loss the toss and was forced to field. Off their 45 overs, Darwen were 215/9 with Gulraiz Sabir and Dec Metcalfe taking 3 wickets a piece. House were bowled out for 105 off 30.4 overs in a disappointing display, Dec Metcalfe steadied the ship scoring 59.
