Twenty20 Update
Lowerhouse travelled to Todmorden last night in their 3rd group game and had an 83 run win in Group C
Professional Francois Haasbroek hit nine fours in a 46 ball 65 with Paddy Martin (52 not out) crashing five fours and a six in a 3rd wicket stand of 135 in the visitors 184-4. Fergus Bailey (2-11), Martin (2-18) and Ben Heap (2-26) all combined to restrict Todmorden to 101 all out.
The campers had a good night!
This leaves Lowerhouse sitting 2nd in Group C tables:
All next Friday’s Fixtures as follows:
Group
A
Accrington v Enfield
Rishton v East Lancashire
B
Haslingden v Bacup
Rawtenstall v Ramsbottom
C
Nelson v Todmorden
Burnley v Lowerhouse
On Friday Lowerhouse travel to rivals Burnley at 6.15 and added significance as a Lowerhouse win will put them in sight of a semi-final appearance. Their first since 2005 when they made it to the final and lost in a fantastic game v Haslingden.
In the event all next Friday’s games are rained off as no results then Lowerhouse would qualify for the semi-final as best runners up and face a semi away at Group winners from either Group A or B
A win would likely mean waiting for net run rate calculations and all eyes firmly on results between Haslingden V Bacup & or Rishton v East Lancs
Even a tight defeat could just see the House through but its The Derby so winning is a must
