Match Day Update

We can`t wait to share a great day with you all.

We will continue to expand our match day notice as the week progresses.

Despite the recent damp and dreary conditions, Lowerhouseas home club have already sold over 700 tickets, and with a sizeable away following it should make for a fantastic day for all.

We have over 100 benches however seating will be at a premium so if you have access to and are able to bring their own camp chairs or the like please do so.

Please be patient with our staff and volunteers as they work to deliver the best service possible

Gates Open at 11.00am

Please have your tickets ready or correct change where possible as this will help to reduce queues into the ground.

Adults £5 with £2.50 concessions, both gates will accept cash or card payment.

There are two entry points available:

1) The re-opened entry on Liverpool Road  
2) The main gates access via David Wren Way.

Car Parking:

Players, Officials & Sponsors along with staff are the only authorised vehicles on the ground at the Cup Final Sunday and all these vehicles must access the ground before 10.45am

There is no public parking at the ground for this fixture:

On Street parking will be limited and subject to an assessment by Lancashire Constabulary later this week

However, if you are parking in and around the ground, we request that you have consideration to our neighbours please:

1. Do not block drives.
2. Do not park on dropped kerbs and
3. Ensure you adhere to road traffic regulations rather than simply abandoning your vehicle.

Ideally ALL parking should be at Business First on Liverpool Road, see map below and access the ground via the Liverpool Road entry.

VIPs:

The League & Cup Sponsor’s JW Lees, their guests as well as the Lancashire League Executive will be housed within the club`s main club room which normally facilitates match sponsors.

In addition, the main decking in front of the club will be reserved for sponsors and VIP`s.

After match presentations will take place on this the main decking.

Hospitality:

22 Hospitality packages were filled in record time even before we had time to advertise.We are very grateful to the individuals and companies who will be with us today.

If you enter the ground from Liverpool Road turn right, alternatively if you enter from the main gates turn left and our Meet & Greet teams will direct you to your Tents.

In addition, our hospitality benches proved equally popular,and we would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your support.

Picnic benches will be arranged the length of the club’s car park up to the tearoom,

Our Meet & Greet team will be situated at the bottom of the car park to direct you to your table and assign your drinks tokens.

DJ: The Prince of Mince

Accrington’s own Lenny Dewhurst has agreed to try keep the early crowd happy and will be on the decks from 11.00am to 12.25pm and then again at the half time interval feel free to requests your favourite tunes.

 Match day Bars

4 bars’ will be in operation on match day:

Lowerhouse main club bar will have the full range of products including Lager`s, Real Ale Gin, and Wine etc.

Lowerhouse members wanting to use their loyalty cards will have to attend the clubs bar to obtain their discount. Littleborough members can also purchase at members prices on production of their 2023 Littleborough members card this invitation also extends to Saturday`s league game v Littleborough and forms part of reciprocal arrangement House fans benefited from at Hare Hill earlier in the season –

The club`s main bar along with the mobile JW Lees Bars stationed at The Groundsman Hut & Old Pavilion will open at 11.00am with the Bar opening in Stella corner at 12.30pm

The three outside JW Lees Bars will offer:

Manchester Craft Lager £3.30, JW Lees Original Lager £3.10,All Rounder Pale Ale £3.10 & Strongbow Dark Fruits £3.70

TVs

3 indoor screens and weather permitting a 4th outdoor screen will show:

Aberdeen v Celtic at Noon

Brentford v Spurs at 2.00pm

Chelsea V Liverpool at 4.30pm

Catering

North West Street Food are the club’s catering providers and Becky, and her team will provide their usual match day fare supplemented by additional facilities on Durkin Way in front of the club house.

In addition, we have sourced an additional catering truck who will operate from the car park along with Mark our dedicated Ice Cream man.

Toilets:

Male & Female are available in the main Club House facility.

There are a gent’s urinals behind the Groundsman’s Hut (secret toilets)

6 additional Uni-Sex Portaloos have been brought in for the event to be situated as follows:

3 Between the Liverpool Rd Entry & Old pavilion
3 at Stella Corner

Disabled facilities as requested in the West End Room

First Aid, / Lost & found:

are also situated in the West End Room

Programmes:

Our match day programme will be available for £1 from our Bars and our sales team who will be out and about between 11.00am and 12.30pm it’s an entertaining read and well worth the investment.

Raffle:

At Half – Time our raffle teams will be out and about with a strip of tickets costing £1 with 5 strips for a £3 with cash prizes and a range of bottles sponsored by RJD Associates (Northwest ) Ltd

Finally, just a reminder of a few things on Sunday in terms of Ground Regulations

1. No external BBQs allowed.
2. No external tents or Gazebo’s
3. No Bicycles
4. Dogs are allowing but must be always kept on a lead.
5. Anti- Social behaviour will not be tolerated

Note there are no restrictions on external alcohol or food you can bring into the ground but please try to avoid ‘glass bottles.

Please remember that we strive like any other club to raise monies to continue to expand our cricket activities so every penny spent with us goes back into local cricket.
