STORIES FROM THE DARK DAYS – 1984 TO 1987 UNCUT

Paul Grace Promotions:

Brian Clough once said, “Football is a simple game complicated by idiots”.

An opportunity to hear from two ex-Clarets who represented the club and wore the shirt during the club’s darkest days.

STORIES FROM THE DARK DAYS – 1984 TO 1987 UNCUT is an opportunity for Clarets fans to ask the many burning questions about what it was like at the club during those dark days.

Five managers in three years – what was it like to play under John Bond?

That epic day on 09/05/1987 when Burnley fought off relegation and the risk of dropping out of the Football League – what was it like?

On Sunday 25th October 2026, Phil Malley and Ashley Hoskin, with over 170 appearances between them, will appear at Lowerhouse Cricket Club to answer questions about the past, their careers and their opinions as ex-players on what is happening at the club now.

Phil and Ash are giving up their time and appearing free of charge, but ask for a £5 donation which will go to Pendleside Hospice.

Tickets: £5 in advance from the Lowerhouse Cricket Club website.
This is a ticket-only event.
Doors open: Midday
Q&A: 2.30pm (time subject to change)
