REMEMBRANCE DAY | WE WILL REMEMBER THEM
Today, Lowerhouse Cricket Club remembers and honours all those who have served and sacrificed their lives in conflicts past and present.
The impact of the First World War on our club was significant. By the end of the war, out of a Lowerhouse membership of around 400, some 80 members were in uniform.
Sadly, we do not know all of their names, nor what happened to every one of them. But we know that they were part of our club, our community and our history, and we remember them.
We will never forget the courage, bravery and sacrifice of those who fought for our freedom, or those who continue to serve.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
❤️💙
