In the last few weeks the cricket club has lost many loyal time served members.
Adding to this is today’s news that patron Michael Carson has passed away aged 77. Michael first watched Lowerhouse in the late-1940’s when he was a keen autograph hunter of the famous pros’ of that great era.
He became a member of the club 53 years ago in 1966 and as been a patron for well over 30 years. He watched the team home and away and at the time of his death it would only be a very small handful who had attended more games down the years than he.
The provisional date for his funeral service is Tuesday, 19th November at St. John’s R.C. church, Padiham.
