The club are very sorry to hear of the passing of club members and long-time supporters Mick Greenwood and Donald Coates.
Mick followed the club for many years as a member and in supporting fund raising activities particularly with the juniors. Mick was a passionate fan. Mick regularly attended home games with his pals on the decking and travelled far and wide to support us. He will be missed by all.
The funeral is tomorrow Wednesday 13th March at noon at Burnley crematorium. Our condolences go to son and former club junior Gary and the family.
Also passing is popular supporter, wit and raconteur Donald Coates. Donald adopted the club many years ago during its darkest hours and formed an immediate friendship and affinity with us.
It gave him immense pleasure to see us develop as we have. He maintained contact with the club despite moving to West Yorkshire in recent years to be near his family, as his health failed.
Donald continued to write letters to us and receive visitors from the club at his new home. The club will be represented at the private funeral and our condolences go to all the family especially wife Elizabeth and daughter Sally.
